The studio
behind the
houses.
SWFNY Studios is a creative consultancy for luxury beauty, fragrance, and fashion houses — building the names, narratives, and systems behind the work, from idea to object.
Not agency work.
Architecture.
We work with luxury houses where taste, timing, and structure decide what survives — naming the thing, building the world around it, producing the image, and preparing it for market. Along the way, we build the tools the work requires. Some of them are becoming products of their own.
SYSTEMS
Brand Architecture
Naming intelligence for beauty, fragrance, fashion, and the ventures around them. Built in the studio. Now in private beta.
Image-Making
A production operating system for campaigns, editorial teams, photographers, and creative directors. Built in the studio. Now in private beta.
Technical Creative Work
A professional perfumery workstation for formula development, structure, and compliance. Built in the studio. Now in private beta.
New York
Product
The studio's own house. A perfume and fashion house built around memory, distance, and narrative luxury — and the living proof of how we work.
From idea
to object.
This is how we work with a house — across the invisible stages most consultancies never touch. We name the thing, build the narrative around it, produce the image, develop the product, and prepare it for market. One practice, end to end.
The house
is the proof.
She Was From New York® began as poetry, became image, and moved into perfume. It is the studio's own house — and the living case study for everything we do for our clients: memory, narrative, and commercial form, taken from idea to object.
Built by
Charles M. Stokes.
Photographer, perfumer, writer, and founder of She Was From New York®. SWFNY Studios began as a consultancy for luxury houses and became an operator of the tools that work requires — extending a single creative discipline across software, scent, image, and brand architecture.
Access is limited
by design.
The studio takes on a small number of houses each cycle, and is opening select tools to private beta. Two doors: work with us directly, or request early access to a system.
